What teaching materials will be used in the course?
We will use custom-made materials specifically designed for overseas children. These materials are presented in a way that is easy for children to absorb, helping them memorise new characters. The essays are written in the form of fun picture book stories to engage the children’s interest, allowing them to get used to reading simple stories before gradually transitioning to reading books on their own. This approach differs from traditional textbook-based lessons.
Are there homework assignments in the Chinese class?
We provide homework to help children reinforce what they’ve learned. After class, children can complete and submit their homework through the Seesaw app or website.
Want to enroll but the class timing doesn’t suit you?
We offer teaching materials on Patreon to help parents teach their children at home.
We also have recorded classes available, allowing children to learn at their own pace and according to their individual learning needs.

Because we are small group class, if an individual child misses a class, the teacher will not conduct a make-up session. However, the class recording will be sent to the child for them to watch after the lesson.
I’m not sure if my child will like the online class. Is it possible to arrange a free trial lesson?
Since our classes are group-based with limited spots, we cannot guarantee offering trial lesson for new student.
And to ensure fairness to other students , we do not offer free classes. However, if there are available spots in the class, parents can pay for a single lesson to try it out.
My child doesn’t understand Cantonese. Is it suitable for them to enroll in a Chinese class?
Our classes are taught entirely in Cantonese, and the content is focused on character recognition and reading written Chinese, which may not be suitable for children who don’t understand Cantonese. We recommend that parents consider enrolling their children in courses specifically designed for learning spoken Cantonese.
Is there an age limit for enrolling in the Chinese class?
Our online classes are suitable for children aged 4 and above, as they have the focus and personality to handle longer lessons. For children under 4, we recommend enrolling in recorded courses, where parents can accompany their children and adjust the lesson duration according to the child’s learning interests and pace. This also allows parents to interact with their children during the lessons.
